Learn about the Impacts of the Key Bridge Collapse on the Port of Baltimore

Originally planned as a behind-the-scenes look at port operations and an opportunity to learn about the economic impact the Port of Baltimore has on our state, this HYPE: Helping Young Professionals Excel event has taken on new urgency after the catastrophic Key Bridge collapse. Join the Maryland Chamber as we pivot to explore the bridge failure's impacts on one of Maryland's most vital economic engines — the Port of Baltimore - and the businesses and communities that depend upon it.

This event was scheduled before the recent disaster struck. However, we are now adapting our programming to address how the bridge collapse has disrupted port operations and affected workers. We remain in close contact with Port officials as the fluid situation unfolds.

While tour plans may be adapted, we aim to still host a behind-the-scenes tour at the Port if conditions allow. Our networking reception at Barcocina- open to all -  will provide an opportunity to learn more about the bridge collapse's widespread ramifications, how the Port of Baltimore is responding and how we can advocate for rebuilding, supporting impacted workers, and driving economic recovery.
